In His Interview Nakuul Mehta Said : “I love being creative as in being into producing, writing, directing or acting. Since college times, I used to make short documentaries and from there started my love for directing. I have also directed all of my wife Jankee’s music videos. Jankee finds it very difficult to work with me as I am very serious and behave very professional when it comes to work. But apart from that we have had a great time working together with the entire team.”

Further he added saying, “I would love to make a film someday. Hopefully I will when the right time comes. I have a lot of ideas in my mind but cannot work on it right now as I am too busy shooting for my show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai…Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara…”

“Acting has always been my first love so even if I become a director, producer or a writer, I will never leave acting. Currently, I love being in front of the cameras (smiles).” he concluded

Nakuul has always been part of the showbiz; he did almost 50 commercials for top brands as well as leads in music video before getting into films. Not only this but to hone up his acting skills, Nakuul has worked in Hindi, Urdu and English plays under the direction of popular names in theatre like Om Katare, Mujeeb Khan, Joy Fernandes and Sanjay Srinivas. "That's been my training school for big screen," this tawny eyed actor smilingly says. Instead of joining the acting classes Nakuul preferred to do active theatre.

He descends from King Prithviraj Chauhan of Rajput Chauhan dynasty of Mewar. His father, Pratap Singh Mehta, is a veteran of Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Mehta is a practising Buddhist.
